What is CBD?

Simply put, CBD is short for cannabidiol which is the non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant which has reported therapeutic properties. Absolutely not. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound and, with the legal levels of THC, have no mind-altering effects. Many people say that CBD is not about what you do feel, it’s more about what you don’t feel! Most people who use it note a feeling of a burden being lifted or a general sense of balance and wellness. 

CBD is generally well tolerated with very few people reporting any negative side effects, however there have been some studies which have noted diarrhoea, changes in appetite, and mild fatigue. If you experience any negative side effects, stop taking immediately. 

No. This can be very confusing, but ingestible CBD products are classified and sold as food supplements and as such are not allowed to have claim any medicinal benefits.

You must seek medical advice before you take CBD as it could potentially interfere with certain medications. 

If you use a UK legal CBD oil you should not test positive for cannabis on a drugs test. This is because they contain either extremely little or zero levels of THC. 

Products which contain traces of THC are called “Full Spectrum”. Don’t worry, all our products contain below the legal maximum of THC and therefore are perfectly legal to consume and have no altering effects.

Be VERY careful when travelling with CBD as, although it is legal in the UK, in some countries it is still illegal / classed as a controlled substance. Do a thorough check on the government website of the country you are travelling to before deciding whether to take it with you.

CBD is non-toxic and not known to have any poisonous effects. The amount of CBD it would take to overdose is physically impossible to be ingested by a human being and so the risk of overdosing is extremely low.

It is legal to drive while using CBD as there isn’t enough THC in it to make it illegal.
